ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION
Candidates belonging to all categories for admission to the B.Sc degree course in nursing (basic) should have passed the qualifying examination (academic stream) after period of 12 years of study with following subjects of physics, chemistry and biology or botany/zoology and nursing.
Every candidate before admission to the course shall submit to the principal of the institution certificate of medical fitness from an authorized medical officer that the candidate is physically fitto undergo the academic course.
The minimum educational requirements shall be passing of higher secondary school certificate examination 12 years course or Senior school certificate examination 10,2
An equivalent with 12 years schooling from a recognized board or university with science (physics, chemistry, biology and English with minimum 45% aggregate marks (PCBE) for SC/ST candidates the minimum percentage of marks is 45%
AGE LIMIT FOR ADMISSION
A candidate should have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or would complete the said age on or before 31ST December on the year of admission to the B.sc nursing degree course.
ELIGIBILITY CERTIFICATE
The candidate who has passed any qualifying examination other than the higher secondary course examination conducted by the government of Tamilnadu, before seeking admission to any one of the affiliated institution shall abtain an eligibility certificate from the university by remitting the prescribed fees along with application from which shall be downloaded from the university website.
ENTRANCE
Should possess the certificates and documents required in the application form at the time of admission.
ISSUE OF APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION
Applications for admission to the degree course are issued from 1st march to 30th April. The application forms are to be collected from the office on payment of Rs.500. Online payment is also possible for receiving application. The duly completed applications along with all the required documents as specified required in the application form should reach the principal office on or before 31st may.
ENTRANCE EXAM AND SELECTION
The application numbers and names of the candidates who fulfill the prescribed eligibility requirements must appear for an entrance test (with hailticket)
The test will consists of questions from subjects physics, Chemistry, biology, English, general knowledge, religious/morals, values and ethics which will be for one and half-hour duration. The standard of these papers will be that of the+2 examination. The examination will be held at the college.
The names of the successful candidates from the written entrances test will be required to appear for an oral interview before a selection board.
The candidates called for interview are required to bring the following original documents:

MIGRATION CERTIFICATE/ELIGIBILITY CERTIFICATE
The candidate who has passed any qualifying examinations other than the HSC examination conducted by the government of the Tamilnadu shall obtain an eligibility certificate for the Tamilnadu Dr.M.G.R Medical university website (www.tnmmu.ac.in)
The application numbers and names of the selected candidates will be announced as early as possible. if selected candidate drop out then waiting list candidate will be given admission
The selected candidates are required to sign a letter of acceptance and submit the original certificates and pay the IST Installment on the same day of announcement of final result. The il installment by December 1st week and Ill installment by April 1st week. The above fees can be paid either by DEMAND DRAFT PAYABLE AT SACRED HEART COLLEGE OF NURSING', AVELLODU, DINDIGUL or by cash. If the candidate wants to discontinue the course due to any circumstances she has to pay the four years fees and then get the certificates, if the certificates are not registered
The fees paid once will not be refunded under any circumstance
The institution does not accept any donation and has not appointed any agency for this work. In the event of any such offer any institution/agencies. The institution will not take the responsibility
The fees once paid are not refundable in any circumstance no request for their refund will be entertained
The candidates who do not receive the intimation regarding entrance test and interview should consider that they have not been selected. The college will not be entertained any correspondence in this matter.
